What Liverpool fans chanted to Trent Alexander-Arnold during the Tottenham match

Liverpool’s visit to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Wednesday ended in a disappointing 1-0 defeat, with the performance leaving much to be desired. However, the Reds are still in contention, as this was only the first leg of the semi-final.

Despite the loss, there were positives to take away, notably the performance of Trent Alexander-Arnold. Initially left out of the starting XI in favor of Conor Bradley, Alexander-Arnold impressed during his substitute appearance, earning praise from both fans and journalists.

James Pearce reported that Liverpool’s traveling supporters showed their support for Alexander-Arnold, chanting “The Scouser in our team.” This marked a stark contrast to the negativity he faced after a difficult performance in Sunday’s draw against Manchester United, which had been a low point in his Liverpool career.

Alexander-Arnold’s response to the criticism was commendable. On Wednesday, he displayed determination and energy, offering a much-improved performance. While it wasn’t enough to secure a win for Liverpool, his renewed fighting spirit could prove invaluable as the season progresses.
