Liverpool Set Historic Club Record as Slot’s Side Shines Against Brighton

Just nine minutes in, Harvey Elliott tucked home a smart cutback from Conor Bradley, giving Liverpool an early lead and setting a new benchmark in the process.
That goal ensured Liverpool have now scored in every single one of their 19 away league matches this season—a first in club history. The achievement is a rare one in English football, having only been matched nine times overall, and just four times since the league adopted a 20-team format.
Historically, teams like Arsenal (2001/02, 1930/31) and Manchester United (2001/02) have achieved the feat, but never before had Liverpool managed it—until now.

In a recent press conference, Slot reflected on the team’s away form:
“Yeah, it definitely means a lot to me. I didn’t know the exact numbers, but early on I told the players we had to improve our away form if we wanted to compete for the title. We’ve done that, and our home form has been strong as well. In a league this tough, you need both.”
Slot has already carved out personal history by becoming the first Dutch manager to win the Premier League.
Liverpool now turn their attention to their season finale at Anfield against Crystal Palace on Sunday (May 25), where captain Van Dijk will lift the Premier League trophy. A city-wide victory parade is scheduled for the following day, with massive crowds expected to join the celebration.
