Tottenham move to dismiss Frank as manager and reveal plans for his successor, with club legend ‘open’ to coming back.

Reports suggest Tottenham Hotspur have decided to dismiss head coach Thomas Frank and are moving quickly to find a replacement.

Frank was brought in to succeed Ange Postecoglou, with the aim of stabilizing the club after a turbulent period. However, he has struggled to deliver, as Tottenham’s poor performances in recent months have left them 14th in the Premier League, deepening the divide between the club’s leadership and its supporters.
Many believe hiring Frank was a mistake, as he has failed to win over fans and the team’s results and style of play have been underwhelming.

The situation worsened on Saturday when Spurs suffered a humiliating 2-1 home defeat to relegation-threatened West Ham. Following the match, Fabrizio Romano stated that Frank’s position is “at serious risk.”
Romano said on his YouTube channel: “This is a terrible moment for Tottenham, even though the club tried to show support by adding John Heitinga, former Ajax manager and ex-Arne Slot assistant at Liverpool, to the backroom staff during the week. Despite these positive gestures, Tottenham lost again at the weekend, and the situation for Thomas Frank has become extremely complicated.”

He continued: “His job is at serious risk. Tottenham must decide whether to act now or give him time to turn things around, but the reality is that his position is not secure. Internal discussions are ongoing, and the coming hours and days will be crucial. While Glasner is expected to leave Crystal Palace at season’s end, Frank is fighting to keep his role as Tottenham prepares to make a decision soon.”

The report adds that Saturday’s loss and the fan reaction—especially chants of “sacked in the morning”—are seen as a turning point for the club’s hierarchy. As a result, Tottenham have already begun searching for a successor, considering both interim and permanent options.

Several names have been linked with the role, and talkSPORT reports that club legend and current United States manager Mauricio Pochettino is “open to a return.”
