Arsenal played to a 1-1 draw with Brighton on Saturday night after Joao Pedro converted a penalty for the Seagulls.
Fans have been expressing their views on the penalty decision, which saw William Saliba penalized for a foul on Joao Pedro.
LFCApproved commented, “You have to look at it from a different perspective too. This was all about the referee’s decision, Pedro didn’t exaggerate the situation. It was hard to watch, especially as his teammates could see he was clearly in pain from what seemed like a head injury.”
NowArs remarked, “The VAR review took just three seconds. THREE SECONDS. How can they check every angle in that time?”
Bradley added, “For everyone saying ‘if it was on the leg it would be 100% a penalty,’ it wasn’t on the leg.”
Tubosun questioned, “Has any VAR decision gone our way since Arteta called out the PGMOL last season at Newcastle? The players must know that since last season, we are officiated differently and need to be more cautious with their actions. Saliba should’ve gone down holding his head too.”
