Real Madrid forward Rodrygo has reportedly made his choice regarding a potential move, amid ongoing interest from three major Premier League clubs. The Brazilian attacker has grown dissatisfied with his role at the Spanish club following Kylian Mbappe’s arrival last summer, which has seen him drop in the team hierarchy.
Manager Xabi Alonso is reportedly open to offloading the 24-year-old, with Arsenal, Chelsea, and Liverpool all expressing interest. Among these, Rodrygo is said to favor a move to Arsenal.
Rodrygo Favors Arsenal Transfer
The Champions League winner is reportedly keen on a switch to North London.
Despite his preference, Rodrygo’s potential transfer to Arsenal may be complicated by the club’s recent agreement with Chelsea to sign Noni Madueke for £52 million. The England winger has been allowed to leave the U.S. ahead of the FIFA Club World Cup final to undergo a medical, raising questions about whether Arsenal still maintains strong interest in Rodrygo.
Rodrygo had a limited role during this summer’s Club World Cup, featuring in just three matches and starting only once. This comes despite reports that Alonso has grown frustrated with Kylian Mbappe and Vinicius Junior due to concerns over their work rate, prompting possible discussions between the manager and the attacking duo.
