Bournemouth’s Milos Kerkez has been frequently linked with a potential transfer to Liverpool in recent weeks, with the Merseyside club reportedly preparing to submit an official bid soon.
Journalist Ben Jacobs reports that Bournemouth are seeking over £40 million for the 21-year-old Hungarian left-back.
Liverpool in Need of a Left-Back
Liverpool are in the market for a new left-back, as they look to find a long-term successor to Andrew Robertson. While the Scottish defender has been a key player for the Reds, he is entering the latter stages of his career and has shown signs of decline. Securing a talented young left-back is therefore a top priority, and Kerkez fits the profile.
Additionally, Kostas Tsimikas may be sold during the summer transfer window, further reinforcing the need for reinforcements in that position.
Kerkez has already shown his quality in the Premier League with Bournemouth, and he appears ready to take the next step at a top-tier club like Liverpool. Financially, the Reds are capable of meeting Bournemouth’s demands, and it remains to be seen whether they can finalise the deal.
