Report: Liverpool urged to smash British transfer record to land key star’s successor

According to Fichajes, Liverpool are reportedly prepared to offer over €100 million to secure the signing of the French international. The 23-year-old has been in sensational form for Bayern Munich since joining the club, recording 43 goal contributions last season.

He’s currently among the best players in Germany, and Liverpool see him as a potential long-term replacement for club legend Mohamed Salah, who appears to be showing signs of decline. The Frenchman is viewed as an ideal successor and a top transfer target for the Premier League champions.

However, Bayern Munich are said to be demanding around €150 million for his transfer, meaning Liverpool would need to break the bank to get their man.

The Reds have shown their willingness to spend big recently, paying a British record £125 million for Alexander Isak and splashing heavily on Florian Wirtz earlier this summer. This proves that they have both the financial power and the intent to invest in top-tier talent like Olise.

At 23, he would be a brilliant signing for Liverpool. Having already experienced the Premier League during his time at Crystal Palace, he could adapt quickly and make an immediate impact. The chance to return to England could also appeal to him personally.

It now remains to be seen whether Liverpool will follow up their interest with a formal bid in the months ahead.
