According to GiveMeSport, Liverpool are optimistic about finalising a deal for Bayer Leverkusen’s Jeremie Frimpong in the coming days, with plans already in motion to arrange his medical.

New manager Arne Slot, who recently led the team to a Premier League title, is determined to bring in high-caliber players to strengthen the squad.
Liverpool set for a busy transfer window
Alongside Frimpong, Slot has already secured goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili from Valencia for up to £29 million—a deal finalized last August.
Frimpong is being targeted as a direct replacement for Trent Alexander-Arnold, who has decided to leave the club as a free agent after declining a new contract offer.
With the departure of the dynamic right-back, Liverpool are in need of someone who can offer both defensive solidity and attacking flair. Frimpong fits that profile perfectly, having contributed five goals and 12 assists this season for Leverkusen.
Frimpong transfer nearing completion
Liverpool are prepared to activate Frimpong’s release clause and have already begun the process of organizing his medical, signaling that a deal is close.
Meanwhile, the club is also eyeing other reinforcements. Bournemouth’s Milos Kerkez is their top choice to challenge Andy Robertson at left-back, while Atalanta winger Ademola Lookman is being considered to strengthen the attack.
