Report: Liverpool “definitely” want a two-time Champions League winner if their main player departs

Liverpool are interested in signing Real Madrid forward Rodrygo Goes during the upcoming summer transfer window.

The 24-year-old has been linked with a move away from La Liga, and Liverpool are keen to bring him in if Luis Diaz departs.

French outlet L’Equipe reports that Rodrygo is Liverpool’s top choice to replace the Colombian star “without a doubt.” He has also been linked with Arsenal.

Rodrygo would be an excellent signing
Widely regarded as a world-class talent across Europe, Rodrygo could become a future star at Liverpool if the club can finalize the deal. He hasn’t featured regularly for Real Madrid lately and is expected to see even less playing time under new coach Xabi Alonso.

A move away from Spain for more consistent playing time would suit him well, and Liverpool could offer that platform.

Luis Diaz is reportedly attracting interest from clubs like Bayern Munich and Barcelona. The Colombian was crucial for Liverpool last season, scoring 17 goals, but now seeks a new challenge. Liverpool must find a suitable replacement.

Adding a versatile attacker like Rodrygo would be ideal. He can play across the front three, bringing goals and creativity. At 24, he still has plenty of room to grow and develop into a world-class player.

A move to Liverpool would benefit Rodrygo
Regular Premier League football could unlock Rodrygo’s potential and help him reach new heights. With the World Cup on the horizon, he will want more game time, something Liverpool can offer.

He has the quality and experience to succeed at top clubs, having already won the Champions League twice with Real Madrid. His winning mentality could be a valuable asset for Liverpool.
