Report: Agent traveling to the UK to negotiate with Liverpool regarding a ‘unique’ striker

In recent years, Liverpool and Manchester City have been the main contenders for the Premier League title.

Now, both clubs might compete to sign an attacker who appears likely to switch teams this summer.

Rodrygo, the Brazilian forward at Real Madrid, has seen limited playing time under the new coach, Xabi Alonso.

Known for his versatility, Rodrygo has been linked with a move away from the Spanish giants, as interest from Premier League teams continues to grow.

Could Rodrygo be heading to Liverpool this summer?

According to Football Insider, the player’s representatives are traveling to the UK to discuss a potential transfer with both Liverpool and Manchester City.

Rodrygo has become frustrated at Real Madrid due to his lack of minutes on the pitch in recent weeks.

He was barely used during the Club World Cup this summer and was even left on the bench in Real Madrid’s opening La Liga match under Alonso.

Although the coach has publicly shown support, it’s clear Rodrygo is seen more as a backup option.

Real Madrid now appear willing to sell the player rather than keep him sidelined.

The Brazilian forward is being encouraged to leave Real Madrid.

Rodrygo is particularly interested in joining a Premier League club that will compete in the Champions League.

While Liverpool’s primary target remains Newcastle’s Alexander Isak, they are considering Rodrygo as an option, especially after the departure of Luis Diaz to Bayern Munich this summer.

Former Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has described Rodrygo as a “special” talent.

Last season, the La Liga attacker scored 14 goals and provided 11 assists across all competitions.
