Liverpool have completed the permanent transfer of academy product Jarell Quansah to Bayer Leverkusen in a deal that could reach £35 million, and it includes a key clause that may impact the club’s future defensive plans.

The 22-year-old centre-back, who joined Liverpool at the age of five and went on to make 58 senior appearances, leaves Anfield shortly after helping the team win the Premier League under new manager Arne Slot.

According to LiverpoolFC.com, Quansah has now officially joined the Bundesliga side after featuring 25 times last season, including 13 league appearances during the title-winning campaign.
