Mohamed Salah Calls Out Disrespectful Fan Post About Díaz and Núñez

Liverpool star Mohamed Salah has publicly criticized a popular fan account for what he called a disrespectful post about former teammates Luis Díaz and Darwin Núñez.

The controversy started when the account Anfield Edition posted a graphic comparing Díaz and Núñez to new signings Florian Wirtz and Alexander Isak. The caption read: “Name a bigger upgrade in footballing history.”

Salah didn’t hold back in his response on X (formerly Twitter), writing:
“How about we celebrate the great signings without disrespecting the PL champions?”

Both Díaz and Núñez recently left Liverpool. Díaz joined Bayern Munich after a strong season, while Núñez moved to Al-Hilal following a more mixed campaign. Despite their exits, Salah made it clear they deserve respect for their role in Liverpool’s Premier League-winning season.

The fan account later apologized, saying they didn’t intend to insult the former players but simply wanted to highlight the club’s new additions.

Salah’s response was praised by fans for defending his ex-teammates and reminding the community to appreciate the players who helped bring success to the club.
