Man Utd fans uncover the reason behind Manuel Ugarte’s ‘headbutt’ on Kai Havertz as new details surface

Manchester United fans are convinced they know why Manuel Ugarte ‘headbutted’ Kai Havertz as new damning information has emerged following their FA Cup win over Arsenal.

Man United secured a famous victory over Arsenal in their FA Cup third round tie on Sunday.

The Red Devils won the Emirates showdown on penalties to book their spot in the next round of the competition.

Gabriel cancelled out Bruno Fernandes’ opener, with the visitors reduced to 10 men following the dismissal of Diogo Dalot, who was shown a second yellow card with his side ahead.

Martin Odegaard had the perfect opportunity to put his team in the lead after Andy Madley pointed to the spot following Harry Maguire’s foul on Havertz.

Before Odegaard fluffed his lines, Maguire angrily called out Havertz on the pitch.

The German also clashed with Ugarte, who appeared to land a headbutt.

But Man United fans think Ugarte took action after he was held by the throat.

An image has emerged on social media of Havertz’s hand around Ugarte’s throat.

People online believe the FA should take action against Havertz and reckon he was lucky to avoid a red card.

One X user wrote: “Rodri got sent off for doing that.”

A second said: “Good thing the ref didn’t spot that, or would have been a straight red for Ugarte…”

A third argued: “Yup. I said it earlier and Havertz should be fined. Casemiro was given a three game suspension when it wasn’t even intentional.”

A fourth commented: “Deserves a review and a 3 match ban imo.”

A fifth added: “That’s a red card, arsenal truly got what they deserved in the end.”

No action was taken against either Ugarte or Havertz. Whether retrospective action will be taken remains to be seen.
