Liverpool Academy Graduate Harvey Elliott Opens Up After Loan Move to Aston Villa
Liverpool have loaned out another academy graduate, with Harvey Elliott sharing his first thoughts since completing a season-long move to Aston Villa.
After a heartfelt farewell to Liverpool fans, the 22-year-old midfielder, who spent six years at Anfield and won six major trophies, has now spoken as a Villa player.
Speaking to avfc.co.uk, Elliott called the move “incredible” and expressed excitement about starting his new chapter in Birmingham.
Reflecting on his decision, he told VillaTV: “It feels amazing. I want to thank everyone involved in making this happen. Playing for a historic club like Aston Villa is a dream for any young player.”
Elliott highlighted how discussions with Aston Villa’s manager Unai Emery were key in persuading him to join. “He welcomed me warmly even before I officially signed, which made me want to come here even more,” Elliott said.
Having made 149 appearances for Liverpool and won the England Under-21 European Championship, Elliott emphasized his need for regular game time. “My focus now is on developing as a player, and the best way to do that is by playing consistently—and this is the perfect place to do that.”
