Liverpool fans are all sharing the same opinion about a player after watching training footage released by the club.
As the Premier League leaders gear up for a highly anticipated Merseyside derby against Everton at Anfield on Wednesday evening, they hold a 12-point lead over Arsenal and appear on track to claim their 20th English top-flight title.
However, recent weeks have not been entirely positive for Liverpool, with their Champions League exit at the hands of PSG and a 2-1 defeat to Newcastle in the Carabao Cup final.
Additionally, uncertainty surrounds the futures of Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah, while Trent Alexander-Arnold is expected to join Real Madrid at the end of the season when his contract expires. Meanwhile, new manager Arne Slot is still adjusting to his squad, with players like Jarell Quansah, Wataru Endo, and Joe Gomez seeing limited game time this season.
Among those with sporadic appearances, one player in particular is drawing calls from fans for a bigger role.
Federico Chiesa, who joined Liverpool from Juventus in the summer of 2024, has struggled to make an impact at Anfield. The Italian international has made just 11 appearances, with only three coming in the Premier League.
After watching training footage released on Monday, supporters are urging the club to give him more opportunities.
One fan commented: “Chiesa at centre forward seems the way to go.”
Another wrote: “2025/2026 season Federico Chiesa is going to be glorious. Ballon d’Or loading already.”
A third added: “Fede needs to play vs Everton man. Deserves it after Newcastle. Hope Slot thinks so too.”
A fourth expressed: “I don’t think there’s another player I want to succeed at Liverpool more than Fede Chiesa at the moment.”
It remains to be seen whether Slot will grant Chiesa more playing time, but speculation suggests he could return to Italy this summer, with Antonio Conte reportedly interested in bringing him to Napoli.
