Liverpool fans furious over performances of two players against Man Utd, demand immediate action from Arne Slot

Liverpool fans have urged manager Arne Slot to take decisive action following the performances of two players in their 2-2 draw against Manchester United.

Despite the draw extending Liverpool’s lead at the top of the Premier League table to seven points over Arsenal, fans were left frustrated with certain individual displays at Anfield.

Slot’s side initially fell behind in the 52nd minute when Lisandro Martinez scored, but they turned the game around by the 70th minute thanks to Cody Gakpo’s stunning 20-yard strike and Mohamed Salah’s penalty. However, Amad Diallo equalized for United in a thrilling, end-to-end second half. United nearly snatched victory in the final moments, but Harry Maguire’s effort went over the bar.

Fans particularly criticized Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andy Robertson. Alexander-Arnold was blamed for giving the ball away in the buildup to Martinez’s goal and failing to close down Bruno Fernandes. He was substituted for Conor Bradley with five minutes remaining. Meanwhile, Robertson came under fire for failing to block Diallo’s equalizer.

Fans expressed their dissatisfaction on social media:

“No words for this Trent performance. Can’t believe he came out for the second half.”

“Trent Alexander-Arnold was absolutely abysmal today.”

“I’m sorry, Robertson and Trent cannot be our starters anymore.”

“Robertson needs dropping.”

“Slot had to take Trent off after United scored the first.”
