Liverpool supporters are convinced that one of their players is nearing an exit following a leaked team sheet from a closed-door friendly match.
This comes after Liverpool already secured the signings of Florian Wirtz, Jeremie Frimpong, and Milos Kerkez earlier in the transfer window.
However, Liverpool’s summer activity hasn’t been limited to new arrivals—several players have also been linked with moves away from Anfield in recent weeks.
Now, fans believe they’ve identified the next likely departure after an image surfaced showing the squad Arne Slot selected for a behind-closed-doors friendly on Sunday.
The Reds cruised to a 5-0 win over Stoke City at the AXA Training Centre, with Darwin Nunez netting a hat-trick and Rio Ngumoha and Federico Chiesa also scoring.
The lineup, shared by journalist Ben Pescod, revealed that Slot chose a strong side for the match, featuring players like Wirtz, Mohamed Salah, and Virgil van Dijk.
However, Luis Diaz was noticeably absent from the squad—fueling speculation over his future, especially amid ongoing links to clubs like Barcelona and Bayern Munich.
Fans quickly reacted online, with one commenting: “Diaz not in the squad for Stoke, certainly looks like he’s off. What do we think the final figure we agree upon will be for him?”
Another fan wrote: “Luis Diaz didn’t feature at all today against Stoke City. Looks like his move to Bayern is close then.”

This speculation follows a report from transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, who stated that Bayern Munich are preparing another offer for Diaz and consider him their top target.
With Barcelona recently acquiring Marcus Rashford from Manchester United, Bayern now appear to be the only major club actively pursuing the Colombian winger.
Alisson Becker and Alexis Mac Allister were also left out of the matchday squad, but their absences haven’t raised any alarms among fans, as there’s no indication that either is looking to leave.
Harvey Elliott was another absentee, potentially adding weight to rumors linking him with a move to another Premier League club.
Potential Replacement for Diaz?
If Diaz does leave, Liverpool are reportedly eyeing Real Madrid’s Rodrygo as a possible replacement. The Brazilian attacker is said to be valued between €60 million and €80 million, especially since he’s dissatisfied with his playing time under new Real Madrid manager Xabi Alonso.
