Liverpool may offer two players in a potential swap deal to secure Alexander Isak from Newcastle United, according to reports.
The club is expected to be active in the summer transfer window after only signing Federico Chiesa last year. Meanwhile, Darwin Nunez, Diogo Jota, and Luis Diaz have all been linked with possible exits from Anfield.
Trent Alexander-Arnold is reportedly close to joining Real Madrid on a free transfer, while Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk will also be out of contract in the summer.
As a result, Liverpool has been linked with several players, including Isak, Milos Kerkez, and Jeremie Frimpong. However, Newcastle is said to be demanding at least £150 million for Isak, which could pose a challenge for the Reds.
According to talkSPORT, Liverpool might propose a player-plus-cash deal to secure the striker. Last summer, Newcastle was reportedly interested in Joe Gomez, and defender Jarell Quansah was mentioned as a possible bargaining chip in Liverpool’s pursuit of Anthony Gordon. Both players could now be included in a bid for Isak.
The Swedish forward is expected to be in high demand this summer after an impressive season, scoring 23 goals and providing five assists in 33 appearances.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano recently noted that Arsenal is also interested in Isak, along with Benjamin Sesko. However, Newcastle remains intent on keeping their star striker, though financial considerations and significant offers could influence their decision.
