Liverpool and Arsenal back off from Alexander Isak pursuit as Newcastle remain firm

The i Paper reports that Liverpool and Arsenal have scaled back their interest in Newcastle striker Alexander Isak as the summer transfer window approaches.

Both clubs still hold the Sweden international in high regard, given his impressive 20-goal tally in the league this season. However, Newcastle remain adamant that Isak is not for sale, dismissing even speculation about a £150 million price tag.

With several alternatives available in the market, Liverpool and Arsenal are now exploring other options.

Notably, Jurgen Klopp opted to sign Darwin Nunez over Isak for Liverpool in 2022, according to Sky Sports.
