Leandro Trossard has been building his ultimate five-a-side team made up of past and present Arsenal players.
Speaking to the Premier League, Leandro Trossard has been asked to build an ultimate team made up of players who currently play for or have played for Arsenal.
Trossard was given a list of legends to choose from in five different positions, while he was also allowed to choose any of his current teammates.
As you can imagine, this side was made up of a number of Arsenal legends with a few members of The Invincibles side making the grade.
However, one of Arsenal’s current players also made the team with Trossard opting to pick Bukayo Saka alongside Thierry Henry in his attack, snubbing some big names in the process.
Leandro Trossard picks Bukayo Saka in his Arsenal dream team
Trossard was given a list of incredible players to choose from in his attack in his dream five-a-side team.
The Belgian could’ve picked Robin van Persie, Dennis Bergkamp, Davor Suker, Freddie Ljungberg or even Ian Wright, but he went for Henry and Saka.
“Up front, Van Persie, Ian Wright, Henry, Suker, Bergkamp, Ljungberg, Kanu or Rosicky (or any of your current teammates)?” Trossard was asked.
“Henry for sure, then Saka is in as well. On the pitch everyone can see his quality and he’s still so young, so he will be an icon for Arsenal for sure.” Trossard said.
Trossard made quite an incredible team, it must be said.
That side would likely dominate any five-a-side tournament, that’s for sure.
Henry and Saka play up front together in Saka’s team, and that would be a joy to watch. After all, Saka is Henry’s favourite player right now.
Leandro Trossard’s record alongside Bukayo Saka
It’s not surprising to hear that Trossard picked Saka in his dream team.
Saka is a world-class player at this point, and Trossard is one of his best teammates.
Indeed, these two work so well together.
Trossard has praised Saka before, and interestingly, all of Trossard’s first seven goals for Arsenal were actually assisted by Saka.
These two have a brilliant connection on the pitch, and that is showcased by their record together.
Trossard seemingly really rates Saka, and, as he says, the 23-year-old is well on his way towards becoming an Arsenal legend.
Of course, if Saka is to be considered on the same level as the other players in Trossard’s dream team he needs to win some major silverware soon.
Arsenal are lagging behind in the title race at the moment.
However, as Arsenal know well, things can change quickly in football and Gary Neville has tipped Arsenal for the title recently, but if the Gunners are to catch Liverpool, they will need to step things up.
