Ja Morant Praises Jaren Jackson Jr.'s Stellar Season in Three Words

Ja Morant Praises Jaren Jackson Jr.’s Stellar Season in Three Words

Posted on December 2, 2024December 14, 2024 By Dailynewsupdate No Comments on Ja Morant Praises Jaren Jackson Jr.’s Stellar Season in Three Words

Ja Morant and the Memphis Grizzlies are bouncing back strong this season after last year’s disappointing 27-55 record. With Morant healthy and the roster bolstered by key additions, Memphis has emerged as a formidable contender in the Western Conference, boasting one of the best starts in the league.

Jaren Jackson Jr., the Grizzlies’ 6-foot-10 forward, has been pivotal in their resurgence. Following Memphis’ dominant 136-121 victory over the Indiana Pacers on Sunday, Morant took to social media to highlight Jackson Jr.’s All-Star-caliber season.

“Jaren Jackson Jr. all star,” Morant tweeted, adding a star emoji to endorse his teammate’s bid for an All-Star selection.

Morant and Jackson Jr. Lead Memphis Past Pacers

In their sixth consecutive win, the Grizzlies improved to 14-7, securing third place in the Western Conference standings. Jackson Jr. and Morant were instrumental in the victory, combining for 44 points.

  • Jaren Jackson Jr.: Game-high 25 points, 8-of-14 shooting, 3-of-6 from three, 8 rebounds, 2 steals, and 3 blocks.
  • Ja Morant: 19 points, team-high 8 assists, 2 rebounds, and 6-of-13 shooting.

Jackson Jr. has been Memphis’ standout performer this season, averaging a career-high 22.2 points, along with 5.8 rebounds, 1.3 assists, 1.8 blocks, and 1.3 steals per game. He’s shooting 51.6% from the field, another career best, and 33% from beyond the arc.

Grizzlies Building Momentum

The Grizzlies’ cohesion and strong performances from their star duo have elevated them to contender status in the West. Jackson Jr.’s consistency on both ends of the court and Morant’s playmaking have been key factors in their early success.

Memphis will aim to extend their winning streak on Tuesday when they face Luka Dončić and the Dallas Mavericks. Tip-off is scheduled for 8:30 p.m. EST.
