“I’m not referring to backups”: Jamie Carragher urges Arsenal to sign two top attacking players to compete for the title.

Jamie Carragher believes Arsenal are the only team capable of preventing Liverpool from winning the Premier League title. However, he insists they must bolster their squad during the January transfer window to mount a serious challenge.

“Arteta has relied too heavily on the same players, especially Bukayo Saka,” Carragher wrote in his column for The Telegraph.

“He needs at least two more top-quality attacking players—not just backups for injuries, but starters who can keep opposition managers guessing about Arsenal’s lineup.”

With Saka and Raheem Sterling unavailable for the foreseeable future, Arsenal are likely exploring potential transfer options. However, there is no certainty that any signings will be made.

Arteta has commented on coping without Saka, emphasizing the need to adapt to the strengths of the players available.
