Arsenal made history in the Champions League knockout stage with a stunning 7-1 victory over PSV, all but securing their place in the quarter-finals.

The Gunners netted seven goals in Europe’s top competition for only the second time in their history—and, in the process, became the first away team to achieve this feat in the knockout rounds.

This remarkable performance came after Mikel Arteta’s side had gone two consecutive Premier League games without scoring, against West Ham and Nottingham Forest.

Arsenal raced to a 3-0 lead within 31 minutes, thanks to goals from Jurrien Timber, Ethan Nwaneri, and Mikel Merino. Noa Lang pulled one back from the penalty spot before halftime, but two quick-fire goals early in the second half put the game completely out of PSV’s reach.

Martin Ødegaard grabbed his second of the night in the 73rd minute, bringing Arsenal’s tally to six, before substitute Riccardo Calafiori sealed the emphatic victory 12 minutes later.
