Despite Valencia’s struggles, Mamardashvili remains ambitious. Speaking about his upcoming switch to Anfield, he emphasized his determination to compete for the starting role, regardless of whether Alisson stays.
“I was attracted by the Liverpool project as soon as the club’s representatives met with me. I will fight for the starting goalkeeper role there, even if the current goalkeeper does not leave,” he told The Athletic.
