Fans are all sharing a common view on Amazon Prime’s coverage of Manchester City versus Everton.
City are hosting Everton at the Etihad Stadium in the first of eight Boxing Day fixtures, with Liverpool facing Leicester in the final game of the day at 8pm.
As part of their now-established tradition, Amazon Prime is broadcasting all 10 festive fixtures, starting at 11:30am and continuing throughout the day.
Jeff Stelling is hosting a dedicated goals show, while Chris Kamara added to the excitement by announcing his appearance at the City Ground to cover Nottingham Forest’s clash with Tottenham.
This marks Amazon Prime’s second full Premier League fixture schedule this month, with unique presenting and commentary teams assigned to each match. The platform features pundits linked to the teams involved and prominent voices like Clive Tyldesley and Jon Champion, who don’t usually work with Sky Sports or TNT Sports, on commentary.
Fans have praised Amazon Prime’s style and comprehensive coverage, with many taking to social media to express their appreciation.

However, this week’s matches will be the last Premier League games shown on Amazon Prime for the next five years. In December 2023, the league announced a record-breaking £6.7 billion domestic rights deal. Sky Sports will broadcast at least 215 games per season, while TNT Sports will show 52 matches per season until the 2028/29 season.
Reports suggest Amazon Prime opted not to bid due to the structure of the rights packages and the challenges of integrating a high-volume, premium model within their Prime subscription service.
