Liverpool supporters took to social media after noticing Curtis Jones’ reaction to Trent Alexander-Arnold’s emotional moment during the club’s Premier League title parade.

On Monday afternoon, Liverpool’s players and staff finally celebrated their league triumph with a victory parade in front of fans.

Thousands of Reds supporters filled the streets of Liverpool to cheer on their team as the open-top bus made its way through the city.

During the celebrations, a video surfaced on social media showing Alexander-Arnold in tears, being consoled by teammates including Dominik Szoboszlai and Mohamed Salah.

But it was Curtis Jones’ reaction that sparked the most online chatter. In the clip, he appears to question if Alexander-Arnold is crying, then makes a series of expressive gestures, including one that some interpreted as a suggestion that it was for the cameras.

Fans had plenty to say:

Unfortunately, what should have been a joyous day was overshadowed by a serious incident on Water Street around 6 p.m.

A video shared online showed a car driving through a crowd of supporters in the city centre, striking several people.

Merseyside Police confirmed the arrest of a 53-year-old white British man believed to be the driver.

Assistant Chief Constable Jenny Sims stated: “At around 6 p.m., as the parade neared its end, we received reports of a vehicle hitting pedestrians on Water Street. Several individuals were injured and taken to hospital. Emergency services, including the North West Ambulance Service and Mersey Fire and Rescue Service, responded. The vehicle remained at the scene and the driver was taken into custody.”
