Fabrizio Romano reveals what Arsenal are ‘very likely’ to pursue in the final days of the transfer window.

Arsenal fans have been calling on Mikel Arteta to strengthen the squad with a signing or two during the current transfer window.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano believes it is “highly likely” that Arsenal will bring in a new striker. Speaking in his GiveMeSport newsletter, Romano explained: “This is the expectation of Mikel Arteta, so I expect the club to back him and find a solution on the market even if big names are not available.”

Arsenal have been searching for a forward since the start of the season but were unable to secure targets like Benjamin Sesko, who rejected their approach. Now, with injuries compounding the need for reinforcements, finding a striker has become Arteta’s top priority in the final days of the window.

Several names have been linked to the Gunners, including Alexander Isak, who remains their dream signing, though a January move for him seems impossible. Benjamin Sesko remains unlikely, while Juventus is reportedly open to selling Dusan Vlahovic, which could reopen Arsenal’s interest in him. Another option is Matheus Cunha of Wolves, as contract talks between the Brazilian and his current club have stalled.
