Harry Kane and Eric Dier Celebrate First Career Trophy with Bayern Munich
Harry Kane and Eric Dier have claimed the first major trophies of their careers after helping Bayern Munich clinch the Bundesliga title. The former Tottenham teammates contributed to Bayern’s 33rd league triumph, secured with two matches remaining following a 3-3 draw against RB Leipzig.
Dier scored Bayern’s opening goal as they overturned a 2-0 deficit to briefly lead 3-2, with Michael Olise and Leroy Sane also finding the net. Despite not scoring in his last two league appearances, Kane’s 24 goals in 29 Bundesliga games – plus 12 more in other competitions – have been pivotal to Bayern’s success.
Since his £100 million move from Tottenham in 2023, Kane has been prolific, scoring 80 goals in 89 appearances. Amidst ongoing speculation about a potential Premier League return, financial expert Stefan Borson suggested any transfer would cost over £100 million.
Following Bayern’s title celebrations, Kane and Dier posted a video on Instagram (4 May), singing along to “Sweet Caroline” with their teammates. The lighthearted moment showed Kane letting loose in a rare public display of celebration. England teammates Declan Rice and Harry Maguire liked the post, which Kane captioned: “Celebrating together. Champions together.”
Kane’s future remains uncertain despite interest from several Premier League clubs including Newcastle, Arsenal, and Manchester United. However, with Bayern returning to their dominant form and Kane now tasting team success, a move away from Germany may not be on the cards anytime soon.
