ARSENAL STAR MIKEL ARTETA ADMIRES NEARS JANUARY EXIT AFTER TRANSFER DEVELOPMENTS

Arsenal left-back Oleksandr Zinchenko could be on the brink of leaving the Emirates, with Borussia Dortmund reportedly targeting the Ukrainian international following their failed attempt to sign Chelsea defender Renato Veiga.

Sky Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg reports that Dortmund have begun talks with Zinchenko’s representatives about a potential move to Signal Iduna Park. The 28-year-old has struggled for consistent playing time this season due to injuries and increased competition, making just 12 appearances across all competitions.

Dortmund’s interest in Zinchenko emerged after their pursuit of Veiga fell through. Initially linked with a loan to the Bundesliga side, Veiga was instead sent to Juventus on a €5 million loan deal with no purchase option. Unwilling to meet Chelsea’s demands for a permanent transfer, Dortmund has now shifted their focus to Zinchenko as an alternative.
