Arsenal fans are stunned by Ethan Nwaneri’s Instagram bio following the 5-1 victory over Man City.

Fans were left shocked by what Ethan Nwaneri has written in his Instagram bio.

The 17-year-old has thrived under Mikel Arteta this season, scoring seven goals in 22 appearances, including one in Arsenal’s 5-1 victory over Manchester City on Sunday.

Nwaneri made history at just 15 when he debuted in the Premier League against Brentford in September 2022, becoming the youngest player to feature in England’s top division.

Alongside fellow Arsenal academy graduate Myles Lewis-Skelly, Nwaneri has dazzled at the Emirates this season, with both youngsters finding the net in yesterday’s match.

Arteta, 42, was full of praise for the duo after the game, highlighting the academy’s role in their development.

“There’s a lot of work behind the scenes in the academy, and many people have contributed to this,” Arteta said in his post-match press conference. “Hopefully, they’ll be proud because their success is a collective effort.”

He added, “I believe in them, we believe in them. When they step onto the pitch, they play with purpose, they make things happen, and that’s what I love about both of them.”

Despite his standout performances, fans were surprised to discover that Nwaneri still lists “Arsenal U18” in his Instagram bio, despite regularly featuring for the first team.

After the match, the teenager shared a series of photos with his 550,000 followers, leading observant fans to notice the outdated bio.

Supporters found the situation amusing and shared their thoughts on social media.

One joked, “Leave him alone. He just wants to stay humble.”

Another quipped, “Technically, he is under 18.”

A third added, “It’s hilarious because he’s been actively posting and still hasn’t changed it.”
