Alan Shearer reveals what impressed him about Darwin Nunez’s performance for Liverpool against Lille.

Liverpool made it seven wins from seven in the UEFA Champions League after a professional 2-1 win against LOSC Lille at Anfield.

Mohamed Salah fired the hosts ahead in the first-half before a ten-man Lille brought the game back to 1-1 through rumoured Liverpool target Jonathan David, with Harvey Elliott securing the win for the Reds with a deflected effort after coming on at the break.

Although Curtis Jones picked up a potential injury problem for Liverpool, it was overall a good night at Anfield for the Merseyside giants, with Arne Slot’s side securing passage to the last-16 of the Champions League with a game to play.

And Alan Shearer was very happy to see one Liverpool player named in the starting XI this evening.
