“There’s still a lot to play for,” said former England captain Alan Shearer regarding the Premier League title race and whether Liverpool are dominating it.
“Liverpool have been impressive, despite conceding some goals—two against Newcastle, two at home to Fulham, and three on Sunday. Their performance against Spurs, especially after Chelsea’s draw and Arsenal’s win which added some pressure, was outstanding.
“They looked sharp, like a solid team with players ready to come off the bench and make an impact. They’ll be tough to beat, no doubt.
“This season has been unlike any other for various reasons. Just look at the situations with Bournemouth, Forest, Chelsea, and even Liverpool under their new manager. The level of unpredictability so far has been remarkable.
“Liverpool sit top of the table at Christmas, holding a four-point lead with a game in hand over Chelsea.”
