Liverpool Preparing Second Bid for Alexander Isak Amid Newcastle’s Transfer Moves

Liverpool Set to Make Another Move
According to Indy Kaila via CaughtOffside, Liverpool – under new head coach Arne Slot – are now ready to submit an upgraded bid for Isak, believed to be in the region of £130 million. This would surpass the £116 million Liverpool were prepared to offer for Florian Wirtz earlier.
Unlike their response to Liverpool’s initial £110 million offer, Newcastle are expected to entertain this new proposal, potentially reopening talks before the transfer window closes.
Woltemade Arrival Signals Isak’s Potential Departure
The arrival of Woltemade would give Newcastle a high-quality replacement for Isak, fulfilling a key objective in their ongoing reshuffle. While Woltemade may not be the finished product, Bayern’s strong interest speaks volumes about his potential.

From our perspective, it looks increasingly likely that Alexander Isak will leave Newcastle. Given the club’s current financial situation and PSR (Profit and Sustainability Rules) constraints, it’s hard to see them greenlighting a £70+ million purchase like Woltemade without first securing a substantial incoming fee.
A £130 million offer from Liverpool could prove too good for the Magpies to refuse – and would significantly ease their financial pressures.
