Liverpool may be in the market for a new right winger this summer if Mohamed Salah opts not to extend his contract. Reports now suggest that one of their potential targets, Jarrod Bowen, would be open to a move to Anfield.
With uncertainty lingering over Salah’s future, Liverpool has begun considering alternatives, and Bowen is seen as a strong candidate. The West Ham forward, known for his goal-scoring ability and versatility as both a winger and a striker, could serve as a direct replacement for the Egyptian star.
Liverpool’s pursuit of Bowen has seemingly received a boost, as former scout Mick Brown told Football Insider that he believes the player would be very interested in joining the Reds.
“Playing for Liverpool is an attractive prospect for any player, given the chance to win trophies and compete at the highest level,” Brown stated. “He’s happy at West Ham and valued there, even earning England call-ups. I don’t expect him to push for a transfer, but I’d be surprised if he wasn’t open to an opportunity that could elevate his career.”
Brown added that while Bowen would likely be receptive to a move, Liverpool would first need to meet West Ham’s asking price, which is expected to be substantial.
