Manchester City chairman Khaldoon Al-Mubarak has sent a clear message to Liverpool, declaring that his side is fully committed to reclaiming the Premier League title that the Reds have taken.
Following a frustrating season in which Pep Guardiola’s team ended 13 points behind new champions Arne Slot’s Liverpool and failed to secure any trophies for the first time in eight years, Al-Mubarak believes the setbacks have only strengthened City’s determination. He emphasized the club’s mission to swiftly reassert their dominance in English football.
“We’ll be back,” Al-Mubarak affirmed. “Last season is behind us. Today marks a fresh start. We’ve been planning for the next campaign since January.
We’ll take the positives, address the shortcomings, and use them to grow and come back stronger.
“I can guarantee that this club will do everything it takes to return to the high standards we are known for—and we will reach them again.
“If there’s one thing I’m focused on right now, it’s moving forward from last season and shifting our attention entirely to what lies ahead.
The players are eager to return. They’re not satisfied with how things ended.
They’re hungry to bounce back—and that hunger is clear to see.
“Usually, players would be thinking about their holidays at this point, but honestly, everyone I’ve spoken to is already thinking about the new season.
“That’s the mentality we want, and it’s exactly why I’m feeling so optimistic. We’re going to return with strength and positivity.”
