Liverpool have reportedly decided whether to permit Trent Alexander-Arnold to join Real Madrid early in time for the Club World Cup.

Posted on May 17, 2025 By Dailynewsupdate No Comments on Liverpool have reportedly decided whether to permit Trent Alexander-Arnold to join Real Madrid early in time for the Club World Cup.

Liverpool have reportedly reached a decision regarding whether Trent Alexander-Arnold will be allowed to join Real Madrid ahead of schedule.

Following months of rumors, it was officially announced earlier this month that Alexander-Arnold will leave Anfield at the end of the season when his contract expires.

In a heartfelt video shared on social media, the 26-year-old explained his choice to part ways with his boyhood club.

“This is without a doubt the toughest decision I’ve ever had to make,” he said. “This club has meant everything to me for the past 20 years. From the Academy to the first team, the love and support I’ve received from everyone within and around the club will always stay with me. I owe everything to you all.”

It is widely believed that Alexander-Arnold will sign with Real Madrid as a free agent once he departs from Liverpool.

His contract is currently set to expire on June 30. However, Madrid are eager to bring him in sooner to have him available for the FIFA Club World Cup, which starts on June 15.

To make this possible, reports suggest that the two clubs have discussed a possible transfer fee for an early move.

According to Spanish outlet Diario AS, via Madrid Zone, Real Madrid will pay Liverpool €2 million to secure Alexander-Arnold’s early arrival before the Club World Cup.

Fabrizio Romano also confirmed the news on social media, writing: “Real Madrid have offered €2M to Liverpool for Trent to play at the Clubs World Cup, reports Diario AS.”

During Liverpool’s first game after his departure was announced, Alexander-Arnold was met with boos when he came on as a substitute for Conor Bradley in a match against Arsenal.

Liverpool star Mohamed Salah expressed his disappointment at the crowd’s reaction, saying, “I think the fans were a bit unfair to him. He didn’t deserve that. He gave everything to this club and should’ve been treated with more respect.”

Liverpool will return to Premier League action on Monday night with a game against Brighton & Hove Albion at the AMEX Stadium.
