Liverpool are reportedly open to selling Diogo Jota this summer if the right offer comes in, with a number of clubs showing interest in the Portuguese forward.
According to sources close to the situation, CaughtOffside has learned that Liverpool have placed a valuation of around €50–55 million on Jota.
While the 28-year-old remains a valuable member of the squad, ongoing injury issues have limited his impact, and the club may be tempted to cash in if a suitable bid is made.
Interest is said to be coming from several quarters, including Jota’s former club Wolves, as well as Aston Villa and Newcastle United. In addition, Saudi sides Al Hilal, Al Ittihad, and Al Nassr are also reportedly keeping tabs.
Although no formal offers have been submitted yet, and it’s unclear whether any suitors will meet Liverpool’s asking price, a transfer isn’t being ruled out. The Reds aren’t actively looking to sell Jota but could use the funds to invest in new signings this summer.
That said, Jota’s versatility and experience mean Liverpool may be cautious about letting him go too easily. He’s capable of playing across the front line, though he’s been used more centrally in recent times — a position the club could look to strengthen should he depart.
With questions also surrounding Darwin Núñez’s form, there’s speculation that Liverpool could consider a major reshuffle in attack to bring in a top-tier centre-forward.
Empire of the Kop writer Liam Togher has expressed concern over Jota’s potential exit, warning that despite a challenging season, he remains a match-winner and a player the club should think carefully about parting with.
