Fabrizio Romano has shared an update on the future of three key Bournemouth players, including Liverpool target Dean Huijsen, as the summer transfer window approaches.
Liverpool are reportedly in competition with Chelsea, Arsenal, and Newcastle for Huijsen, who has a £50 million release clause in his contract.
In his latest video report for the Daily Briefing, Romano mentioned that both Huijsen and his teammate Milos Kerkez are on Liverpool’s radar, and the signs look positive for the Merseyside club.
Despite interest from Real Madrid and Bayern Munich, Huijsen appears to favor staying in the Premier League, which could work in Liverpool’s favor as they seek a long-term replacement for Virgil van Dijk.
“Bournemouth players are regularly linked with moves,” Romano said. “Recently, there’s been a lot of talk about what lies ahead for some of them this summer. Dean Huijsen is the most notable case — as reported over two months ago, he has a £50m release clause and will leave Bournemouth in the summer.”
Romano confirmed interest from Real Madrid but added that the Spanish club has yet to make a definitive decision on signing a centre-back.
