With the Premier League title nearly out of reach, Arsenal’s full focus is now on Europe as they head into the final four.

Mikel Arteta’s side will face PSG in the semi-finals, with the supercomputer ranking the French team as third favorites at 24%, after narrowly defeating Aston Villa 5-4 on aggregate. Surprisingly, Inter Milan, who were runners-up two years ago, are placed second with a 25.5% chance. La Liga leaders Barcelona are ranked last of the four semi-finalists with a 21.8% chance of winning their sixth Champions League title.

The differences between the teams are minimal, with just a 7% gap separating Barcelona and Arsenal, who could potentially meet in the final in a repeat of the 2006 showdown. The supercomputer’s calculations are based on a combination of betting odds and Opta power rankings, which analyze both historical and recent team performances through 10,000 simulations.

Before the quarter-finals, Barcelona were considered the favorites to win, but their loss to Borussia Dortmund in the second leg has caused a shift in the supercomputer’s projections. Despite their attacking dominance in the first leg, their weaknesses were exposed in the return match, leading to their drop in rankings.

Arsenal, despite their past lack of success in the competition, have made a strong statement with their performances against Real Madrid, particularly with Declan Rice’s two stunning free-kicks and Mikel Merino’s curling shot. Even with the potential for a Real Madrid comeback, the Gunners’ defense stood firm.
