Reflecting on the loss, Ancelotti admitted in his post-match press conference, “It was a tough defeat. We didn’t expect this. The team looked solid and well-organized in the first half, but after conceding two goals from set pieces, we collapsed mentally and physically. The last 30 minutes were very poor, and we didn’t see the usual response from the team.”
He further assessed the match by saying, “Up until the score was 0-0, I was satisfied, but after their goals, our reaction was extremely disappointing.”
During the game, fans noticed what appeared to be a disagreement between Bellingham and Ancelotti, which quickly became a topic of discussion on social media.
