Jurgen Klopp poised for Liverpool comeback before Premier League finale.

Jurgen Klopp will return to Liverpool next month as a guest speaker at the LFC Foundation gala dinner.

The event is set to take place at Liverpool Cathedral on Friday, May 23, just two days before the Reds face Crystal Palace at Anfield, where they are expected to lift the Premier League trophy.

Arne Slot’s team currently sits at the top of the Premier League, holding an 11-point lead over second-placed Arsenal, despite suffering a 3-2 loss to Fulham on Sunday.

Klopp ended his remarkable eight-and-a-half-year tenure at Liverpool last summer after winning every major trophy with the club. Since January, he has served as Red Bull’s head of global soccer.

Although he has been invited to Liverpool’s final game of the season, The Athletic reports that his attendance has not yet been confirmed. However, Klopp has stated that if Liverpool secures their 20th league title, he intends to take part in celebrations within the city—though he will not join the team’s open-top bus parade on May 27.

The former Borussia Dortmund manager led Liverpool to their 19th league title in the 2019/20 season, but celebrations were dampened by the Covid pandemic.

With seven games remaining, Liverpool needs just 11 more points to secure the title, with their next match against West Ham on Sunday.
