Salah has been a key figure for Liverpool, scoring an astonishing 243 goals and providing 110 assists in 393 appearances. This season, he has been instrumental in their title challenge, netting 27 goals and assisting 17 in just 30 games. Losing him would be a major setback for the club.
Liverpool Preparing a Huge Bid for Alexander Isak
On a more positive note, Liverpool have been linked with a high-profile move for Newcastle United’s Alexander Isak. The Swedish forward has attracted interest from several top clubs, including Arsenal, Manchester United, and Barcelona. However, Liverpool are now reportedly leading the race to sign him.
According to Spanish outlet Fichajes, the Reds are preparing a massive €135m (£114m) bid for Isak. The striker is keen to play in the Champions League and has put contract renewal talks on hold, believing this is the right time for a new challenge.
Newcastle are determined to keep him but acknowledge the seriousness of Liverpool’s interest, making it a difficult task to hold on to their star forward.
Isak has been in outstanding form, playing a key role in Newcastle’s League Cup triumph and keeping them in contention for a top-four finish. In 26 league appearances this season, he has scored 20 goals and provided five assists, bringing his overall tally to 24 goals and five assists across all competitions.
If Liverpool secure his signature, it would be a major coup and a strong statement of intent as they push for their 20th league title. However, even with a marquee signing like Isak, allowing a player of Salah’s caliber to leave could prove to be a costly mistake.
