Liverpool and Chelsea have been monitoring a Crystal Palace star throughout the season, with a potential summer transfer on the horizon.
The Eagles boast several talented players attracting interest from top Premier League clubs, including Eberechi Eze, Adam Wharton, Jean-Philippe Mateta, and Marc Guehi—all of whom could be set for moves away from Selhurst Park.
With both Liverpool and Chelsea aiming to bolster their defensive options this summer, England international Marc Guehi has emerged as a key target for both clubs. According to TBR Football, the two Premier League giants are currently leading the race for his signature.
Since departing Chelsea in 2020, Guehi has developed into one of the league’s most consistent defenders. His performances earned him a starting role for England at Euro 2024, where he was one of the team’s standout players under Gareth Southgate.
Defensive Reinforcements Needed at Liverpool and Chelsea
Liverpool could be in search of a new center-back, with Virgil van Dijk’s future at Anfield uncertain. Meanwhile, Chelsea have struggled with defensive injuries, particularly with Wesley Fofana, making Guehi a potential solution for their backline issues.
Previously linked with Newcastle United, Guehi will enter the final year of his contract this summer. With Palace prepared to cash in, they have already identified Maxime Estève and Rav van den Berg as possible replacements.
While a move to a bigger club seems inevitable, it remains to be seen whether Liverpool or Chelsea will secure his signature.
