One of the biggest transfer stories is centered around Newcastle’s star striker Isak, who has attracted interest from multiple clubs, including Liverpool, as they look to strengthen their attacking options following Darwin Nunez’s inconsistent performances.
Now, Liverpool’s chances of signing the Swedish forward have improved, with reports suggesting Newcastle are preparing for his possible departure by scouting a suitable successor.
Isak has been in outstanding form, scoring 19 goals in 25 Premier League appearances this season. If he leaves, manager Eddie Howe will need to secure a high-quality replacement to maintain Newcastle’s attacking prowess.
According to Italian outlet La Gazzetta dello Sport, Newcastle have set their sights on Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic.
Despite delivering strong performances for the Serie A giants, Vlahovic is expected to leave this summer, as both his representatives and Juventus agree that a move would be in the best interest of both parties.
The Serbian striker has recorded 14 goals and three assists across 35 appearances this season. While Juventus initially invested £66 million to sign him from Fiorentina, they are reportedly willing to accept an offer of around €45 million (£37.5m) for him.
However, Newcastle face competition for Vlahovic’s signature, with Arsenal and Manchester United also reportedly monitoring his situation.
