In the first leg of the Champions League Round of 16 clash between Arsenal and PSV, Arsenal dominated with a staggering 7-1 win, leaving PSV with little chance of progressing.
Following such a disappointing outcome, PSV decided to show gratitude to their loyal supporters who traveled to London for the return leg.
The club announced that they would cover the ticket costs for fans attending the match in England.
In an official message sent to ticket holders, PSV wrote:
“After last week’s tough result at home, we deeply appreciate your continued support and presence. As a sign of our thanks, we will refund the cost of your match ticket.”
Each fan will receive a refund of €68, with the total reimbursement exceeding €200,000.
Around 3,000 PSV supporters are expected to make the trip to London for the game.
What’s your take on this gesture?
Meanwhile, Arsenal’s William Saliba said about their Champions League ambitions: “If we don’t believe, there’s no point in playing.”
