Man City Fans Suspect Rift Between Two Players After Controversial Nottingham Forest Defeat

Manchester City fans are convinced that tensions have arisen between two key players after noticing a controversial moment during their shocking defeat to Nottingham Forest.

The reigning Premier League champions struggled in their away fixture against a resurgent Forest side on Saturday morning. Despite dominating possession with 70%, City failed to make it count, ultimately allowing Callum Hudson-Odoi to seal a late victory for the hosts.

Following the loss, fans have directed their frustration at one player, with newly surfaced footage leading many to believe he has fallen out with a teammate.

Before the match, City supporters were surprised to see star January signing Omar Marmoush start on the bench, given his impressive performances since joining the club. The Egyptian forward was eventually brought on for Savinho after the hour mark, but fans quickly noticed an apparent issue—Bernardo Silva repeatedly ignored Marmoush, refusing to pass to him throughout the game.

A viral clip circulating online highlights three instances where Marmoush was visibly open, yet Silva opted to pass elsewhere. This has sparked outrage among fans.

Reacting on social media platform X, one fan wrote: “Look at Marmoush screaming for the ball, and then there’s Bernardo taking a thousand touches with his head down. Useless.”

Another added: “I was literally shouting at the screen. Even from home, it was obvious Marmoush was calling for the ball.”

A third suggested: “He does this all the time. He must not like Marmoush. Always passing sideways and backward.”

One fan even speculated further: “They must all hate him.”

Since joining City on January 23, Marmoush has featured in nine matches across all competitions, with his standout moment being a spectacular hat-trick against Newcastle United last month.
