Liverpool fans believe two players might be on their way out of the club after spotting revealing footage before the Man City match.
Liverpool strengthened their position at the top of the Premier League with a crucial 2-0 win over Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City at the Etihad on Sunday, extending their lead to 11 points.
Mo Salah played a key role, scoring and assisting Dominik Szoboszlai’s goal, sparking chants of “We’re going to win the league” from the away fans, while City supporters departed early following their team’s lackluster display.
While the overall mood in the Liverpool camp is positive, not everyone seems content—particularly those who are seeing less game time.
Before Liverpool’s showdown with City, a video surfaced featuring two players who were not in the starting lineup. Konstantinos Tsimikas and Darwin Nunez were both named on the bench by Arne Slot, with the left-back making a brief appearance as a substitute in the 74th minute, replacing Andrew Robertson.
Nunez, 25, was left on the bench entirely, missing the chance to redeem himself after his costly miss against Aston Villa last Wednesday.
Following the emergence of the footage, many fans believe both players could be heading for a summer exit.
Supporters quickly shared their thoughts on social media.
One fan commented: “You can’t have players with that attitude around the squad. No matter how frustrated they are with their game time, the team comes first. Positivity is crucial.”
Another wrote: “They need to lift themselves up. When given chances, they don’t make the most of them. We need players focused on the bigger picture. These two are likely leaving this summer.”

Meanwhile, a fourth added: “Nunez is getting sold. I wish him well and hope he improves.”
Tsimikas is under contract with Liverpool until the summer of 2027 but has struggled for regular minutes, making just 23 appearances this season. Meanwhile, Nunez, whose contract runs until 2028, has yet to find consistency and live up to his £85 million price tag since his arrival from Benfica in 2022.
