“Yes, more than before. We’re in regular contact and have exchanged a lot of messages in recent months. He’s asked about my family, congratulated me on our games and reaching the Carabao Cup final—things like that. He’s also told me when he’ll be visiting here next…”
It’s heartening to hear that Klopp remains in touch with players who were so important to him, though it’s hardly surprising. It’s likely Salah isn’t the only one receiving messages of support from the German, who is now the Head of Global Soccer for Red Bull.
The 57-year-old has already admitted he’s been following Liverpool’s matches, sending encouragement to both the players and new manager Arne Slot.
With the Carabao Cup final approaching, Klopp’s mention of a visit could hint at a possible return to Wembley. Given his recent comments on Salah’s contract situation, it’s clear he still holds Liverpool’s star forward in high regard.
