Mikel Arteta is reportedly preparing to offload seven first-team players as part of a major squad overhaul at Arsenal this summer.
A significant number of departures are expected at the club by the season’s end to make room for new signings.
According to The Mirror, Arteta has approved widespread changes to facilitate incoming transfers.
Raheem Sterling and Neto will not remain at Arsenal once their loan spells conclude. Sterling, on loan from Chelsea, and Neto, from Bournemouth, will both return to their parent clubs. Sterling, 30, has had a limited role this season, scoring just once in 18 appearances, while Neto has featured in only one game.
Kieran Tierney, Thomas Partey, and Jorginho are all out of contract this summer and are likely to leave as free agents. Tierney and Jorginho were linked with moves in January—Tierney to Celtic and Jorginho to Flamengo—but remained at Arsenal due to injury concerns. Partey, in his fifth season at the club, has been a regular in the Premier League and Champions League this term.
Oleksandr Zinchenko and Jakub Kiwior are also set to depart after slipping down the squad hierarchy. Zinchenko, who joined from Manchester City, has made eight league appearances, while Kiwior has also played eight times this season.
While these exits won’t generate significant transfer funds, they will help reduce the club’s wage bill, creating space for new signings.
