Liverpool are prepared to approve a squad overhaul for Arne Slot, with three key players already on the transfer list.

Liverpool may be leading the Premier League, but Arne Slot’s squad could undergo significant changes this summer, with three key players potentially set to depart.

Slot’s team currently holds a six-point advantage over second-placed Arsenal and has a game in hand, putting them in a strong position to claim the English top-flight title in his debut season at Anfield.

This success comes despite Slot only taking over last summer following Jurgen Klopp’s departure after nearly a decade in charge, during which the German coach won both the Premier League and Champions League.

Liverpool remain competitive on multiple fronts—they have reached the Champions League last 16, will face Newcastle United in the Carabao Cup final, and are set to take on Plymouth Argyle in the FA Cup fourth round this afternoon.

In Slot’s first transfer window, Liverpool made just one signing, securing winger Federico Chiesa from Juventus for £10m. No further additions were made in January, meaning the squad remains largely unchanged from Klopp’s tenure aside from Chiesa.

However, changes are expected in the summer, with reports suggesting a potential overhaul that could see three key players leave.

According to Anfield Watch, forwards Diogo Jota, Darwin Nunez, and Luis Diaz could all be on their way out in the coming months. The report indicates that both Nunez and Diaz are likely targets for Saudi Pro League clubs, with Nunez having three years left on his contract and Diaz two.

Jota, meanwhile, will enter the final two years of his deal this summer, and concerns over his injury history cast doubt on his future at the club.

Diaz was signed from Porto in January 2022 for an initial £37.5m, while Nunez arrived later that year from Benfica in a deal worth an initial £64m. Jota joined Liverpool from Wolves in 2020 for a potential fee of up to £45m.

So far, Nunez has scored 39 goals in 127 appearances for Liverpool, while Diaz has netted 36 times in 130 matches. Jota, meanwhile, boasts 64 goals in 165 games for the club.
